Privacy Policy
Plain English: what this website collects, why, and how to get it changed or deleted.
Effective October 25, 2026.
Tech Fort LLC ("TechFort", "we", "us") runs techfort.net. This policy covers this website. It does not cover the systems we manage for clients; those are covered by each client's service agreement.
What we collect
When you fill out a contact form
Your name, company, email address, phone number, your message, and which page you sent it from. We only get what you type in.
When you sign up for the Cyber Tip
Your email address.
Automatically, when you visit
- Google Analytics records which pages you view, how you found the site, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. It uses cookies.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and measures load speed. It does not use cookies.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form is being sent by a person, not a bot. It looks at your IP address and browser signals to do that.
- Cloudflare hosts and protects the site, so it handles your IP address and basic request details for every visit.
- Google Fonts serves the site's fonts, so Google sees your IP address when the fonts load.
How we use it
- To answer your request by email, phone or text.
- To send the Cyber Tip emails you signed up for.
- To see which pages help people and which ones need work.
- To keep the site and its forms secure and free of spam.
We do not sell or rent your information. We do not run ad-retargeting pixels on this site.
Who helps us process it
We share information only with the service providers that make the site work, and only for that work:
- Cloudflare: hosting, security, Turnstile and Web Analytics.
- Resend: delivers contact-form messages to our inbox and holds the Cyber Tip mailing list.
- Microsoft 365: our business email, where your message lands.
- Google: Analytics and Fonts.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our clients, our business or the public from fraud or a security threat.
Phone numbers and text messages
If you give us your phone number, we use it only to respond to you. We do not sell or share mobile numbers, or any consent to receive text messages, with third parties for their marketing.
How long we keep it
Contact-form messages stay in our email for as long as we need them to work with you and to keep normal business records. Cyber Tip addresses stay on the list until you ask to be removed. Google Analytics data is kept under Google's retention settings for our account.
Your choices
- Ask us what we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email info@techfort.net.
- Stop the Cyber Tip any time: email us and we take you off the list.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
Depending on where you live, you may have other legal rights over your information. Email us and we will honor them.
Security
We are an IT security company, so we hold ourselves to it: the site runs over HTTPS, forms are spam-checked, and access to messages is limited to the people who answer them. No system is perfect, so we only collect what we need to answer you.
Children
This site is for businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
